FAQ
Match Cut Online FAQ
Short answers about what a match cut is, TextCut, ImageCut, the file, and what stays on your device.
What is MatchCut Studio?
MatchCut Studio is Match Cut Online in product form: a free browser studio with two tools. TextCut makes a text match cut. ImageCut turns photos into a video. Both preview and download on your device, with no account and no watermark.
What is a match cut?
A match cut joins two shots by carrying a shared shape, motion, color, or idea across the edit. In film, that bridge can link scenes; on this site, a graphic match cut can lock one word while the layout changes, and an image match cut can sequence photos that share framing or subject.
What is a match cut example on Match Cut Online?
In TextCut, lock one word in a short line and export the clip—that word is the visual bridge. In ImageCut, order up to eight photos that share a center or silhouette so each hold leads into the next. Either file is a practical match cut example for feeds.
What is TextCut?
TextCut is a short burst of frames where one word stays locked while the layout around it changes. Type a line of up to 25 characters, click the word that should hold still, then download the cut.
What is ImageCut?
ImageCut plays up to 8 photos in the order you set, then downloads that sequence as a video. You choose how long each image holds, repeat the sequence up to 10 times, and can make every image black and white. It is the image match cut tool on Match Cut Online.
Does MatchCut Studio cost anything?
No. TextCut and ImageCut preview and download without an account, a card, or an ad. The file has no watermark.
Where do my phrase and photos go?
They stay on your device. TextCut keeps the phrase and its settings in local storage in this browser. ImageCut keeps the photos in the open tab, and leaving the page drops them. MatchCut Studio does not upload the phrase, the photos, or the file.
Which formats can I download?
TextCut and ImageCut offer MP4 and WebM when your browser can record them. Output is 1080p: 1080×1920, 1080×1080, or 1920×1080.
Can I use the video in client work?
Yes. The file you export from either tool is yours, including commercial posts, ads, and client edits.
Which browsers work?
Current Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, and Brave on desktop and mobile. Recording needs MediaRecorder. If a format is missing in TextCut or ImageCut, pick another option in Download format.
Will it fit TikTok, Reels, and Shorts?
Yes. In either tool, choose 9:16 for a 1080×1920 file that fits TikTok, Reels, and Shorts. Square and widescreen are in the same editor.
How long can the word be?
In TextCut, up to 25 characters. Click any word in the line to lock it. That word is the one that holds still.
Which photos can ImageCut use?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF. Up to 8 images, 25 MB each. Drag them into order before you generate the video.
